Rebeca M. Garcia, DMD, joined University Dental Group in October of 2009. She was born and raised in Miami before receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami. Dr. Garcia then attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2004. Since completing a residency at the Veterans Administration and Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2005, she has been in private practice. Before Dr. Garcia joined the team at our Coral Gables dental office, she was the sole dentist working out of the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, where she practiced comprehensive dental care using the techniques taught at the world-renowned advanced-learning facility. Dr. Garcia still averages many continuing education hours annually with courses provided within the Seattle Study Club.

As if being a dentist wasn’t busy enough, Dr. Garcia is also driven in her personal life. She enjoys giving back to the South Florida community by volunteering with various beach cleanups and the Feed the Children and Humane Society organizations. She also mentors youth who are interested in pursuing a career in dental care. Dr. Garcia is happily married with two children, and she loves making memories with them. The family loves spending their free time together both boating and at the beach in the Keys. Dr. Garcia also rides horses with her daughter which is one of her favorite non-work activities. She also loves traveling, exercising, and reading. Her favorite restaurant is Macchialina in Miami Beach for the amazing food, friendly service, and relaxing atmosphere.
